How the Chicken Road family compares: eight versions side by side

Chicken Road started as a single game from InOut Games in April 2024. By early 2026 the name covers eight versions. They share the same idea, a chicken crossing a road one step at a time while a multiplier grows, but they differ in release date, theme, bonus features and the return-to-player (RTP) figure the provider publishes. This overview puts them in one place so a new version is easy to place.

The eight versions in order

Dates below follow the provider's own game pages.

  • Chicken Road (4 April 2024). The original, with four difficulty levels: easy, medium, hard and hardcore. Published RTP: 98%.
  • Chicken Road 2 (15 April 2025). The sequel, also called Chicken Road 2.0. Published RTP: 95.5%.
  • Chicken Road Gold (5 November 2025). A gold-themed version. Published RTP: 95.5%.
  • Chicken Road Vegas (5 November 2025). A neon-themed version released the same day. Published RTP: 95.5%.
  • Chicken Road Race (18 November 2025). A motor-racing theme. Published RTP: 95.5%.
  • Chicken Road Ice (15 December 2025). A winter and ice theme. Published RTP: 95.5%.
  • Chicken Road Bonus (27 January 2026). Adds the Bonus Run. Published RTP: 97%.
  • Chicken Road 2 Bonus (25 February 2026). A Bonus Run built on the sequel. Published RTP: 96.5%.

The RTP ladder

Four different figures appear across the family: 98%, 97%, 96.5% and 95.5%. The original sits at the top. Its sequel and the four themed releases from late 2025 (Gold, Vegas, Race and Ice) are at 95.5%. The two Bonus versions fall between, at 97% and 96.5%. A higher RTP means a smaller expected house edge over a very large number of rounds; it says nothing about any single session, which can end well above or well below that average.

These are the figures the provider lists. Operators who offer a game can sometimes run a different profile, so the number you see on a given platform may not match. The reliable check is the information screen inside the game itself.

Choosing where to read more

Themed releases such as Gold, Vegas, Race and Ice change the look rather than the structure, so their pages are close to each other. The Bonus versions are the ones that change how a round can play out. Each version has its own page with a specification table, and the versions page lists them together. The news pieces on Chicken Road Bonus and Chicken Road 2 Bonus cover the newest additions in more detail.
